PC Configurator

This website allowed the administrators of the website to setup computers on the sites front end. The process consisted of 4 steps. Step 1 was the products name, and build cost. Step 2 was to select the products initial components from the components database. Step 3 was to select configurable options, such as bigger hard drives, and more memory. Step 4 was to select profit margins. Each customer was added to a group on registering, these groups had unique pricing. The customer was then able to browse the products, and configure their options as they pleased. My employer at the time preferred that customers call to place orders, and thus this project never incorporated payment processing. However, the website would give the customer a reference number which we would use to search the back end of the site for their configured options.
